
The tour will give shoppers the opportunity to test out the new Change4Life Sugar Smart app. Launched on 4 January, the tech allows consumers to find out how many sugar cubes are in the their everyday food and drink products by scanning the barcode.
Visitors to the branded booth will also be able to seek advice on maximum sugar guidelines and tips on how to cut sugar consumption. Free Sugar Smart packs will be available to pick up and take home from the activation.
The Change4Life experiential campaign launches alongside TV, digital and outdoor. Additionally, five million Sugar Smart packs will be distributed to primary-school aged children and their families.
Details of the roadshow come as the NHS announced plans to impose a 20% ‘sugar tax’ throughout its cafes today (18 January).
The tour will travel to 25 locations in total, including Brent Cross in London and The Centre MK in Milton Keynes. It will finish on 28 February in Portsmouth.
