The privately owned group, best known for its regional newspaper business, said turnover in the same period was up by 19.3% at £92.3m and group operating profit was up 16.2% at £16.4m.
Archant's newspaper and printing division's profits rose by 18.3% to £78m, with operating profit up by 18.9% to £18.4m.
Archant recently received clearance from the competition commission for the 27 newspaper titles it acquired from Independent News & Media in December last year. The deal included the Islington Gazette, East London Advertiser and Barking and Dagenham Post.
The company said Archant Life, its regional magazine business, is continuing to make good progress and it has added Brighton & Hove Life to its existing portfolio in the South East.
The Archant Specialist division, which publishes specialist titles such as Pilot, Photography Monthly and Sport Diver, generated revenue of £8.7m and £1.8m operating profit for the six-month period.
Richard Jewson, the chairman of Archant, said: "Given a strong economy and the group's progress in the first half of the year, the board expects continued growth can be achieved in the second half."
Archant produces four daily regional newspapers and more than 85 weekly titles with a combined circulation of three million copies every week.
