The publisher of Total Film and PC Gamer, headed by chief executive Stevie Spring, reported revenue of £76.6m in the period, a 2% dip year on year. Earnings before interest, tax and amortisation (EBITA) fell from £7m to £4.6m.
Spring said the company's performance was broadly in line with last year, when factors such as the £1m hit it took due to a disruption on its news-stand distribution in the US was taken into account.
Across the business, Future's UK operations, which make up 68% of its overall revenue, reported a 6% decline in revenue over the period, although EBITA was up to £7.4m.
Investment in online across the business increased by £1.4m, while the group reported online advertising revenue, which makes up nearly a quarter of overall advertising revenue, rose by 18% in the period.
The group, which this year has launched a number of titles including The Knitter and Triathlon Plus, said it had not ruled out further launches, acquisitions or disposals this year.
Spring admitted that its PC titles, which include PC Zone and PC Gamer, were having a tough time.
She said: "We have refinanced and we have headroom. If someone came along with a really good price for one of our titles, then we would look at it."
