The magazine, which will go on sale on 7 January, will add to Future's portfolio of knitting titles, which include Simply Knitting and CrossStitcher.
Future said the title, which will be priced at £5.99, will be aimed at skilled knitters and feature news pages, a column written by US knitting blogger Mason Dixon, a trend section and yarn reviews.
The title will be edited by Juliet Bernard, who previously ran her own PR company, Bluebear, which specialises in knitting and craft communications.
The launch from Future contrasts with other magazine publishers that have been loathe to launch new titles in the difficult economic climate.
Bernard said: "Experiences knitters in the UK have been looking for a magazine that brings challenging patterns to really push their skills, as well as inspirational ideas blended with creativity and elegance."
