The aim of the site is to position the B&D cylinder vacuum cleaner as an easy to use, reliable machine and demonstrate the key features of the product in an approachable manner.
Visitors are introduced to an animated character -- a 30-something housewife who demonstrates the product to users.
She invites the user into her animated home to show how her Cylinder Vac makes her life easier and demonstrates the cleaning versatility of the Cylinder Vac as she walks round the different rooms, each with a different cleaning need.
The site also links to a competition in association with Channel 4's Kim and Aggie from 'How Clean is Your House?' and features an animated cartoon of the domestic tyrants in action.
Users can register for more information and offers from B&D on the site, and enter a prize draw with the chance to win £10,000.
Myriam Donnevert, European brand manager at Black & Decker, said: "The sophisticated animations really give the brand strength while the clever use of space and storytelling communicate the benefits of owning a Cylinder Vac in a way which is enjoyable for users of the site."
Matt Powell, UK creative director at Profero, said: "Rather than following a tried and trusted formula, we've employed an original graphic style and tone of voice for this site."
