LONDON (Brand Republic) – US media company Primedia is in talks to buy internet portal About.com, according to reports.

Primedia publishes magazines such as Seventeen, New York, Horticulture and Fly Fisherman and owns TV schools network Channel One. About.com was one of the most visited sites during September, according to Jupiter Media Metrix.

The two companies have not commented on the reports, but the talks are said to be at “a delicate stage”.
