
The first tranche of Christmas products going on shelves includes decorations, cards and wrapping paper, as wells as stocking fillers and seasonal food and drink.
Poundland said the scale of the range will allow consumers to buy all their essentials for less, whilst also spreading the cost by extending the buying period. As well as the usual £1 price tag, the retailer will also be running BOGOF's.
Further products will be added in November bringing the range to more than 600 items, across its 227 stores.
Sainsbury's began redressing its seasonal aisles with Christmas products during the first week of September, with The Co-operative closely following by selling tree decorations and chocolate selection boxes at the tills.
