Pot Noodle puts emphasis on net with Glue Digital

Pot Noodle is putting online at the heart of its marketing activity with the creation of a dedicated portal, several spin-off web sites and two advertising-slogans.

Digital agency Glue London has developed the tongue-in-cheek sites to drive traffic to potnoodle.co.uk.

The spin-off sites are aimed at fans of the fast-food snacks and are designed to appeal to 16- to 24-year-olds, who Pot Noodle says are difficult to reach through TV and radio.

The web sites also introduce two slogans for the snack; 'Pot Noodle, the XXXX of all snacks' and 'Pot Noodle, the MMMM of all snacks'.

The advertising slogans, which are expected to be rolled out in Pot Noodle's above-the-line advertising, follow the banning of the infamous 'Slag of all Snacks' strapline by the ITC in 2002, following hundreds of viewer complaints.

The creation of the sites is the first work Glue has done for the Unilever Bestfoods brand since picking up the digital advertising business last November.
