He will report to Nick Farnhill, co-founder and chief executive of Poke, who was recently appointed chief executive of Publicis London, working on growth and strategic positioning for both agencies.

Bayliss joined Poke in 2014 to head up client services. Prior to this, he spent seven years at Elvis Communications.

Meanwhile Christina Marks, a business leader on some of Poke’s key accounts, has been promoted to head of client services, to replace Bayliss.

Marks has been at Poke since 2011. She managed the social launch of the EE brand in 2012 and recently headed up Heineken’s global sponsorship of Formula One within Publicis UK.

Farnhill said: "Tom is a highly respected and integral member of the Poke team. He’s a natural leader, and both he and Christina have a track record of impeccable client service.

"They both know Poke inside and out and have the confidence and determination in ensuring we continue to drive innovation and new thinking."

Poke has also hired Colin Byrne as group creative director for Heineken. He will report into Nik Roope, co-founder and executive creative director of Poke, and global creative digital lead on Heineken. He joins from VCCP, where he spent the past seven years as digital creative director.
