Taking place from the 16-18 May and devised by Circle Agency, PlayStation School’s Cup is a partnership between the brand and the English Schools’ Football Association, working to inspire and nurture young football talent.
The festival is the finale of a seven-month long process, which saw the youngsters partake in a host of regional tie-of-the-round tournaments to secure their team’s place in the national finals. Circle Agency is working alongside PR agency HPS Jardine to activate the festival, which will see 15 finals of U12 to U15 age categories, all of which will be broadcast live in HD to supporters watching back home.
A number of supporter activities will be running alongside the action to entertain fans, including PlayStation-branded t-shirt cannons, gaming pods and prize giveaways. Supporters will also be given the opportunity to win their very own PlayStation 4 console by taking part in a number of competitions, including crossbar challenges and #SchoolsCupSelfie.
To complement the on-pitch talent, a number of professional footballers will try their luck on the latest PS4 games, sign autographs for the fans and give out medals to those who take part. Football freestylers will also be providing additional pitch side entertainment over the three days, showcasing their skills for the spectators and players and going head-to-head with professional football players.
