Television and new media agency Static 2358 has teamed up with
Playboy TV UK to create the second interactive adult themed game to run
on the agency's PlayJam games channel.
Running for four weeks in December, players will have the chance to win
exclusive Playboy TV UK-branded prizes and weekend breaks via a new
strip poker game which features celebrity guests, such as glamour model
Jordan.
The promotion, which aims to point users towards the adult brand's two
channels and 12 Babes of Christmas series, will appear on the PlayJam
channel appearing on the Sky Digital, ntl and Telewest platforms.
It follows a similar interactive TV game by PlayJam for the publisher of
The Lovers' Guide. Locked to younger users, The Lovers' Guide game
required viewers to call a premium rate phone number to obtain the
game's access code. The Playboy game will also be locked to children and
only made available on PlayJam's menu after a 10pm watershed. All
promotion for the game will warn parents that the content has been
designed for adults only.
For the new game, PlayJam ads are also set to feature on both of
Playboy's TV channels, Playboy TV The Adult Channel and Spice.
Jeff Zie, channel head of PlayJam at Static 2358, said the game would
give the Playboy brand a new dimension. "The game demonstrates the
broadening of the variety of content we are now scheduling, to cater for
different audience segments," he said.
