The ad breaks on TV today (15 April) and will run for four weeks.

The spot opens on a woman enjoying a pizza with her boyfriend, until it is revealed that the man sharing her meal is an imposter and is wearing a cheap fake beard in order to pass himself off as her other half, Tom.

Once discovered, the pizza thief bolts through the living-room wall.

This is the first campaign that Ogilvy & Mather has created for Pizza Hut’s delivery business since winning the £10 million account in November.

Adrienne Berkes, Pizza Hut’s chief marketing officer, said: "We’re excited to see the response to the Classic Crust campaign as it’s a real game-changing addition to our menu and the advert captures the ‘must-try’ element to the product."

The work was written by Simon Lotze, art directed by Miguel Nunes and directed by Jeff Low through Biscuit Filmworks.

Pizza Hut's delivery business is owned by Yum! Brands while the restaurant business was sold to Rutland Partners in 2012.
