Among the 200 guests who attended the event were British Formula One racing driver Lewis Hamilton, actors Colin Firth and Simon Pegg and Britain’s Got Talent judge David Walliams.

Guests at the star-studded ball were treated to performances from Paloma Faith, Mr Hudson, The X Factor finalist Jahmene Douglas and Britain’s Got Talent acts Jonathan and Lucy.

The evening finished with famous faces taking to the catwalk, including Jackson, who is also chairman for One For The Boys.

The event was organised by Sofia Davis, the charity’s founder, and suppliers included florist Pinstripes and Peonies and drink sponsors Moët et Chandon and Belvedere.

Technical production company Hawthorns was tasked with providing the lighting, sound, video, staging and catwalk for the celebrity models.

Caterer Table Talk delivered a menu created by Jason Atherton, Michael Caines and Marcus Wareing. It included English asparagus salad, pecorino cheese and soft poached hen's egg, sea bass with courgette flower stuffed with crab and scallop mousse, and chocolate cremeux with a lime sorbet.

IBid provided the silent auction fundraising technology for the event, which included bidding tablets linking to live bidding screens. More than £38,000 was raised for the charity on the night.
