Mollie King from girl band The Saturdays hosted the 360-guest Roll Out The Red Ball. She was joined by a number of VIP guests including Pippa and James Middleton, Made in Chelsea star Oliver Proudlock and entrepreneur Duncan Bannatyne.
The evening began with a champagne reception and performance from classical singer Natalie Coyle, before guests settled for a three-course meal, complete with wine provided by Hardy’s. Special guest Simon Evans performed a comedy routine and soul singer Mica Paris also took to the stage with her band.
The ball raised £150,000 in total for the charity through an live auction hosted by BBC Antiques Roadshow’s Stephen Somerville and featuring prizes such as art by Sir Peter Blake, Dan Baldwin and Damien Hirst. A separate silent auction included a variety of experience and items, including a red LK Bennett dress donated by Middleton, VIP backstage passes to the Graham Norton Show and an afternoon of shopping and styling with King at retailer Oasis.
After dinner, DJ Billy Clark took to the decks, while guests enjoyed cocktails sponsored by Tanqueray London and Qcumber.
The event was organised by the BHF in-house. The events team recently announced it would be hosting its Tunnel of Love event again in 2015, which will see the worlds of fashion, art and music come together for a party in November.
