In pictures: Sony and Time Out host 4,700 at movie marathon

Last weekend (21-23 August) saw Sony and Time Out magazine stage a 48-hour movie marathon, which was attended by 4,703 people across the three days.

The event was held at located underneath London Waterloo station. 

Sony staged the event to promote the battery life of its Xperia Z3 smartphone series. It formed the final part of a wider experiential initiative with Time Out, which included a and .

Guests could test out the new models in between catching a series of movies curated by the Time Out Film team. These included 1980s classics such as Top Gun and Dirty Dancing, as well as new releases including Amy and Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck.

Screenings, which were powered by the creators of the Rooftop Film Club, ran until 2am on Saturday morning, 12.50am on Sunday morning and 7pm on Sunday evening. Visitors could stop by for a specific film or stay for the duration.

Guests were also given the chance to win an Xperia Z3 model at the event.
