Following a rare private viewing of the crown jewels, guests were escorted to the New Armouries for their first glimpse of Moving Venue’s blini and bellini bar, an open kitchen with a 360° conveyor belt. Guests munched on cinnamon crusted pork blinis, and goat’s cheese violet blinis – each with complementing bellinis.

Canapés and bowl food from Moving Venue’s new menus were also served. They featured 24-hour cooked oxtail lollipops with rosemary scented jus and lemon cream, and lamb tortellini with English garden pea velouté.

Prelude Entertainment provided a string duo for the evening, and Lavender Green dressed the room with an arrangements of crisp white flowers.

Rosemary Ridyard, event manager at the Tower of London, welcomed guests, thanking the supporters of Historic Royal Palaces and impressing how important revenue from events at the five palaces was for the charity.

Richard Beggs, managing director of Moving Venue, said: "The number of guests we welcomed to the tower last night was a true indication of the value the Historic Royal Palaces hold among event organisers. By combining our latest culinary thinking with the unique backdrop of the Tower of London, we hope to pave the way for some truly exciting concepts in future events."
