The event, held for clients of the agency, centred on a talk from women’s 2014 Rugby World Cup-winning player Maggie Alphonsi. Interviewed by Sky Sports rugby union presenter Alex Payne, the sportswoman discussed her life in sport, the World Cup and her future plans to compete as a shot-putter.
She also took questions from the floor on topics such as England’s chances in the 2015 Rugby World Cup and the possibility that a woman could coach a male squad.
Another famous face in attendance was Michelin-starred chef Jason Atherton, who has designed the menu for the St George’s Suite at Twinkenham Stadium. He presented prizes of a framed signed England rugby shirt, a Rugby House hospitality package for two to see England play Australia and a four-person dinner at Atherton’s Social Eating House, to winners drawn from a hat.
Guests also took the opportunity to network over drinks and canapés, provided by the venue. The menu included cheesy truffle Jammie Dodgers, BBQ chicken skewers and lamb with a cucumber sauce.
