The £400,000 renovation has transformed the venue into an Art Deco-inspired space for up to 700 guests, while giving a nod to its heritage by keeping the room’s grand chandeliers.
Approximately 20 venue bookers were in attendance at last night’s event. They were offered cocktails, sushi, a carvery and canapés by the hotel’s in-house catering department, before selecting a bag of sweets to take into the screening room for a showing of the Jon Favreau film Chef. The new-look ballroom has already hosted the Leading Culture Destination Awards.
Katherine Gordon, director of sales and marketing at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower, said: "We are very excited to unveil our refurbished ballroom. The décor’s delicate ‘moderne’ approach, blended with contemporary Art Deco style, builds upon Jumeirah Carlton Tower's existing atmosphere of elegance and sophistication.
"Adorned with impressive chandeliers, the sumptuous ballroom will continue to offer visitors an elegant, classic setting for any special occasion or conference."
