The party was held at the Summer Retreat on the rooftop of John Lewis’ Oxford Street, London department store and was produced by PrettyGreen.
Members of the John Lewis loyalty scheme were given interactive demonstrations by Windows 10 experts, and entertained by digital magician Tom London, who demonstrated some of the new Windows 10 functions through his act.
Food and cocktails were served from authentic Neapolitan restaurant Rossopomodoro and Joe & The Juice, both residents of the rooftop Summer Retreat.
The event was part of a and marked the start of a 12-day Windows 10 take-over of the Summer Retreat until 9 August.
Mark Beasley, marketing manager, electrical and home technology at John Lewis, said: "Rewarding My John Lewis members with exclusive access to events and experiences is important to us. The global launch of Windows 10 gave us the perfect opportunity to allow our customers to be some of the first to experience the new operating system in the tranquil surroundings of the Summer Retreat at our flagship Oxford Street store."
Built and managed by PrettyGreen, with the help of Garden Club London founder and winner of the prestigious RHS ‘Young Garden Designer of the Year 2013’ Tony Woods, the Summer Retreat features more than 1,000 hand-planted trees, shrubs, plants and grasses.
It is open from 12pm until the shop closes on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday to Sunday and from 12pm to 4pm on Wednesdays.
