Tyler, better known for his role as Gunther in the show, welcomed VIPs and members of the press at launch events held last night (15 September) and this morning.

A video of the actor congratulating consumers for getting hold of a ticket is played at the entrance of the activation, which is located in The Boiler House on London's Brick Lane.

FriendsFest includes numerous sets for photo opportunities, including the fountain from the opening credits (complete with colourful umbrellas), Joey and Chandler's living room and the Central Perk coffee shop. A replica of Monica's apartment forms the main exhibit.

Elsewhere, guests can have a go at busking like Phoebe in front of a New York black cab, try on wedding dresses, get snapped in a photo booth and have their hair styled in the iconic 'Rachel' do. The space also includes a variety of memorabilia from the sitcom, including Monica and Chandler's handwritten wedding vows and Ross' Science Boy comic book.

Comedy Central devised the experience in collaboration with agency Premier and Warner Bros Television. FriendsFest opened to the public at midday and is in situ until 20 September.
