In pictures: The Good Ship Benefit opens its doors for business

Benefit's highly anticipated three-storey ship on the Thames was unveiled during a VIP event last Thursday (7 April) ahead of its opening to the general public the following day.

The event saw attendees dine on canapés inspired by the city of San Francisco, Benefit’s home, meanwhile a range of themed beverages were available.

Those who visited the ship’s outdoor Hoola Decks, which were lined with pink carpet and featured a Tiki bar, could sip on a cocktail from a large Hoola branded box. Lychee martinis were served within the ship’s 1960s Bond-style room, known as the Porefessional Vault.

Karis Anderson, Courtney Rumbold and Alexandra Buggs of Stooshe performed live in front of guests on the night, meanwhile Laura Whitmore delivered a DJ set.

The event also saw appearances from Dawn O’Porter, Vogue Williams, Ashley Roberts and Gemma Cairney.

The Good Ship Benefit will host events such as bottomless brunches and afternoon teas throughout its five-month residency, alongside fitness classes and live entertainment. Updates will be posted via the brand's dedicated Good Ship Benefit microsite.

Event hire

The ship’s five main rooms, each of which shines the spotlight on a newly launched Benefit product, are all available to hire for events.

The 150-capacity Upper Deck houses the Lashitude restaurant, which can host up to 80 seated guests for dinner, meanwhile the adjoining Hoola Decks are able to accommodate 80 guests at the back and 30 at the front.

The Main Deck can host up to 100 people, and comprises The Brow Lounge, which is suitable for events up to 100 guests, meanwhile The Pinkton Parlour is suitable for smaller sized events of 30 guests. The Porefessional Vault on the lower deck can accommodate 30 people.

The ship also houses the Benefit Boutique & Brow Bar, which while not available to hire, stocks the brand’s products, and staff are on hand to provide brow waxing services.
