The march was held in celebration of Pokémon Day - 20 years since the first games were launched with Nintendo.

Nintendo NY at the Rockefeller Center in Manhattan hosted a special brand experience alongside the stunt, where visitors could take pictures with Pikachu, play games and get their hands on giveaway prizes.

On the other side of the country, Pokémon launched a pop-up shop at Japan LA in Los Angeles. The space will remain open until 27 March, selling branded merchandise and hosting activities such as a trivia game and a photobooth.
