The three industry associations joined forces, as well as receiving support from the Business Visits and Events Partnership (BVEP), for the festive event. It was hosted by Richmond Creative Events and featured a ‘Let’s go to the Hop’ theme based around the 1950/60s eras.

Event technology supplier Luma provided its YrSurface so that guests could create their own name badges.

A number of food stations served up warming treats on the night including American chilli; turkey, stuffing and cranberry sandwiches; and Thai chicken noodle boxes. Ideas Box served winter Pimm’s and Spanish dessert churros from its churros tricycle.

Entertainment consisted of a Lindy Hop dance troupe from Accelerate Productions, and ‘suspiciously Elvis’, sponsored by the BNC Event Show, who serenaded the party. Guests also got a surprise visit from Celebrity Santa.

The event raised £600 for Meetings Industry Meeting Needs and Jo’s Cervical Cancer trust. Guests were invited to pay for envelopes atop the venue’s Christmas tree, which were filled with prize giveaways and all proceeds going to the two charities.

Theming, production and efffects throughout the venue were created by The Hire Business, Off to Work, SLR, Well Dressed Tables, Sound by Design, Crewsaders and Minty Cloud.
