The nationwide stunts are being carried out to promote the launch of the airline’s new low fares as well as to celebrate its 80th anniversary year.
Working with CMT Events, Curb showed off its first and latest projections for Air France last Tuesday (7 January) at London’s Waterloo station. Lasers were beamed from a black taxi onto the capital’s skyline to create images of an aeroplane and the brand’s logo. Air France gained approval from the Civil Aviation Authority to conduct the activations.
The campaign will tour a number of locations across the UK in the coming weeks including Birmingham, Manchester and Edinburgh – some of Air France’s regional departures – with each laser projection to last around two and a half hours.
Karla Bonello, account manager at Curb, told Event: "Depending on how high the clouds are, the projections can look really beautiful and so far we have been successful. The activation is fun and Air France wanted to do something a bit different."
