The Concerto-owned business teamed up with the London museum to open the pop-up outlet as part of the ice rink, which is in its ninth year. Both will be open to the general public between 31 October 2013 and 5 January 2014.
Guests at the launch night were greeted with a warm glass of glühwein upon arrival and enjoyed an evening of alpine-inspired food and ice-themed entertainment.
The entertainment consisted of a professional ice skating show as well as 1940s-inspired singing trio The Polka Dot Dolls.
Create’s menu included canapés such as black macaroons with Scottish smoked salmon; a shot of spiced pumpkin soup with blue cheese and bacon twigs; beetroot soufflé with caramelised chestnuts; and homemade cheese straws.
Bowl food consisted of beef cheek cottage pie and roasted pumpkin crumble both on the menu.
Caroline Gardiner, managing director of Create, said: "The Natural History Museum’s ice rink and pop-up café are one of London’s favourite winter destinations, and Create are looking forward to a season of unforgettable events at this breathtaking venue. It’s a real winter wonderland and the perfect place to enjoy a mulled wine this Christmas."
