The business club venue, based on Grafton Street with evening events managed by GSP, played host to an evening of entertainment on 23 April to showcase its features, which include a large central space with six additional areas available for smaller event hire.
The inspiration behind the theme of the event was the Sky Atlantic TV series Mad Men meets London 1950/60s-style business setting.
A number of event suppliers joined forces to bring the event together, including caterer The Recipe, which provided a range of canapés and bowl food, and Ficklestix which supplied magazine cover-style vinyl images for the windows.
TMAV provided lighting, sound and themed content for plasma screens, while Bearded Kitten’s immersive theatre was used throughout the evening, including ditzy secretaries, a bellboy and a chauvinistic boss who interacted with guests.
Drinking Classes provided an interactive whisky tasting experience and martini cocktail-making classes, Sternberg Clarke put forward DJ Carlo to help bring the event theme to life with some 1950s and 1960s music, and Tuff The Urban Flower Firm supplied flowers for the night.
Other suppliers included Great Hire for a range of furniture, Captivate which managed the guest list, and champagne provided by Pommery.
Fiona Price, head of venues at GSP, told Event: "GSP Venues is proud to be involved with this exciting new project, introducing a sophisticated new venue to the events industry that is right in the heart of Mayfair.
"On Tuesday evening the great and the good of the events industry were brought together to celebrate the launch of The Clubhouse as an external events venue. The Clubhouse is based on Grafton Street and offers stylish and flexible open plan space with elegant features and luxurious interiors all with stunning views of New Bond Street."
