Creating a living botanical secret garden pop-up bar, the agency provided an elegant glasshouse space for around 60 guests to enjoy at the Soho restaurant and cocktail bar on 100 Wardour Street.
Attendees were greeted with aromas of blossoms as they were invited to sit on antique garden benches surrounded by crates of terracotta potting plants, jam jars of wild flowers, hanging pots of herbs, and green bottles sprouting foliage.
Gin cocktails were created by bartenders Callum Lawrie and Adam Spinks, including a rose and lychee collins using Tanqueray, garnished with orange peels and dried petals, as well as a tiny ten martini, which combined Tanqueray No.Ten with pink grapefruit. Calum Lawrie of Tanqueray was on hand to talk through the different botanicals and flavour profiles of the full gin range.
On leaving, guests were given a goody bag containing bespoke handmade chocolates by Caitlin Paxton of Paxton Chocolate, who was commissioned to create individual chocolate thins infused with the different Tanqueray botanicals.
Emily Keogh, managing director of Palm PR, told Event: "The Botanical Gin Garden is a summer long pop-up bar in the D&D London venue, and we were briefed on creating an impactful launch event for press and key influencers."
The Botanical Gin Garden will be hosting a series of interactive events until October, including an evening masterclass on 11 June. It will include cocktails and canapés, and will enable guests to learn about botanical infusions and flavour profiles using the entire Tanqueray product range.
'Foraging in the Summer', taking place on 16 July, will invite guests to forage in the botanical gin garden to create their own bespoke cocktail creations, learning more about ingredients they can use at home for their own drinks.
Carom’s executive chef will be creating a special Indian supper on 6 August, designed to be paired with bontanicals of Rangpur gin. The event will also include a flavour history of India.
On 17 September, the venue will be hosting a Tanqueray No.Ten infusion evening, hosted by master distiller Tom Nichol.
