Over 300 guests from companies including Juice Live Communications, Time Based Events, MCI and Jack Morton registered for the free event, held in the museum’s IMAX cinema.

Demonstrations and seminars were hosted by Blitz with speakers from world-leading organisations, including ArcStream, London Launch and ThinkWall. Presentations introduced the emergent, cutting-edge products and services being developed for use in live events, as well as talks on the importance of integration to create the most innovative technical solutions for any event organiser’s budget.

Attendees were treated to an exclusive preview of Google Glass presenter experience technology, YourShow, ahead of its launch in Britain next week. Guests were also given additional hands-on product demonstrations of Displaylite touch tables, giant iPads, radio-frequency identification-based delegate tracking and mobile applications.

Graham Pope, Blitz sales director, said: "The integration of event technologies is core to the future of our industry. It’s about much more than just the AV; at Blitz, we ensure events are optimised through the use of appropriate and cutting-edge products and services. This event enabled us to bring together like-minded professionals to meet industry peers and experience the latest innovations".

Ash Eldritch, founder of YourShow, added: "Google Glass is a very powerful tool with almost endless possibilities. The Blitz Connection at the Science Museum was the ideal platform to showcase our developments to an audience of forward thinking event organisers."
