Guests, ranging from the old and new film fraternity to members of the press, were lead down the red carpet for a champagne reception at the BFI Southbank before being handed a box of popcorn and ushered into the venue's main cinema screen for the main event.
The night was presented by XFM breakfast host and Shortlist columnist Danny Wallace. Guests were treated to screenings of all of the nominated short films before legendary actor John Hurt unveiled the winning movie, 2.20 by Jason Wingard.
To celebrate the nominations and the winner, an afterparty was held in the venue where guests enjoyed a range of canapés, cocktails, wine and beers, and a DJ set from Paloma Faith.
