Pick of the week: Waitrose invites viewers to a cosy Christmas

Jeremy Lee would love to go to a lock-in like the one in Adam & Eve/DDB's Christmas ad for Waitrose.

What a charming, distinctive and joyous respite from all the schmaltz and phoney sentimentality that otherwise tends to dominate Christmas advertising.

It was written and art directed by Matt Gay, and directed by Martin De Thurah through Academy.

Brand: Waitrose
Title: Snowed in
Agency: Adam & Eve/DDB
Client: Martin George, customer director; Rupert Ellwood, head of marketing
