Pick of the week: BBC steals the show with its heart-warming Christmas ad

Brittaney Kiefer thinks BBC One delivered the best Christmas ad of the season.

I love this emotional story about a dad who shows up for his daughter during the biggest performance of her life – it’s relatable whether you’re a parent yourself or just remember your own childhood. Even more impressive is the craft behind the film, which combines stop-motion animation and CGI to create warm, memorable characters.  This is the first Christmas campaign by BBC Creative, the broadcaster’s in-house agency, but I think we can expect more great things from them and the team at Blink.

The ad was created by Arvid Harnqvist and Amar Marwaha and directed by Elliot Dear through Blinkink.

Brand: BBC One
Title: The supporting act
