The service, Webwise Discover, is part of Phorm's controversial Webwise technology, which serves targeted ads based on ISPs' customers' online behaviour.
For example, a web user using the Webwise Discover widget, arriving on a news website, will automatically be presented with articles based on their previous browsing, such as sports or business articles.
Webwise Discover appears as a box on a user's computer screen, which streams relevant content from certain sites being visited.
Users can switch the service off and on at any time and Phorm has said it is completely anonymous.
Webwise Discover will be offered free to customers of Phorm's ISPs who choose to enable the service. It is currently being trialled in South Korea and Phorm said it plans to conduct a trial with BT shortly, with a view to launching it in the UK later this year.
The launch of Webwise Discover will boost the company, following news that Amazon requested to opt out of Phorm's online behavioural ad-targeting technology, so its customers' online activity would not be tracked online.
In April, the European Commission said it was taking legal action against the UK government for failing to act against Phorm's system, after receiving a raft of complaints about the company.
Phorm's targeted advertising system allows ISPs to track customers' activity online to target them with relevant ads. However, it has prompted controversy with rights campaigners surrounding issues of privacy.
