PHD holds on to £6m UKTV media after four-way pitch

UKTV, the joint venture between the BBC Worldwide and Flextech, called the review last year to ensure it was getting the best value for money. Omnicom's PHD has held the account for six years.

The pitch was handled by the Haystack Group and overseen by UKTV acting marketing director Maya Bhose.

Tess Alps, chairman of PHD, said: "We certainly weren't complacent about retaining it, but it's one of those accounts it's impossible not to be deeply in love with."

UKTV consists of nine branded TV channels on digital satellite and cable including UKTV Gold, UK Food, UK Style and UK History.
