
Pearman is charged with strengthening Microsoft’s relationships with customers and media agencies in the UK, and generating revenue for the business.
He will head a client engagement programme to establish more direct client contact and to strengthen Microsoft relationships with new and existing clients.
He will report to Damon Westbury, UK head of category management.
Westbury said: Tom has a proven track record of success in sales, marketing and business partnerships, and has experience managing outdoor, digital, experiential and newspaper advertising projects. He will focus on establishing strong client relations for the finance category development team.
Pearman has more than nine years’ experience of working in the media. Prior to joining Microsoft Advertising, he was the London sales director at city newspaper, City AM, where he ran the client direct sales team, as well as taking control of commercialising the supplements within the paper. He also introduced a cross-platform sales approach to the client team, targeting major city firms.
