Geldof will present the TV show 'Glamour's Best Dressed List 2008' alongside Daisy Lowe, a teenage model and daughter of Pearl Lowe, the singer, fashion and interiors designer, journalist and country life advocate.
Hannah Barnes, director of programmes at Fiver and Five US, said: "It's a real coup to have such fashion icons on board -- they are a great addition to the launch line-up for Fiver."
The programme will show photos of famous people wearing nice and awful clothes. In the time-honoured tradition of "list shows" a brigade of talking heads, some of whom are well known, will give their thoughts about the outfits. Geldof and Lowe will host the programme and among the talking heads to appear are 'I'm a Celebrity' runner-up Janice Dickinson and Glamour editor Jo Elvin.
The show begins its run at the end of April. It joins a line-up of programming at Fiver, which was previously known as Five Life. Other shows secured for the schedule include 'Intervention', a series of documentaries about addicts whose friends and families are giving them one last chance to clean up their acts; and the 'Hidden Lives' series of documentaries about unusual people, including a documentary, called 'Sweaty Betty', about women who perspire profusely.
Geldof said: "Glamour is a great fashion magazine and it is always fun to be involved with them, I’m really looking forward to filming for Fiver."
'Glamour's Best Dressed List 2008' is being made by Target TV and was commissioned by Steve Gowans, Five's head of factual entertainment and multi-channel commissioner. The executive producer is Steve Regan.
