Paul A Young and Harvey Nichols team up for Chocolate Week

Artisan chocolate brand Paul A Young is collaborating with Harvey Nichols to deliver a chocolate-themed afternoon tea in celebration of Chocolate Week (12-18 October).

The afternoon tea will be available to sample across all Harvey Nicholls stores throughout the month of October. 

Other participanting brands include Madécasse, which is teaming up with London brewery, Tap East to create a chocolate beer. It will be revealed at the Choco-Beerfest event at Tap East’s Great Eastern Market location in Westfield Stratford City on 15 October.

As well as chocolately pints, Madécasse co-founder Brett Beach will be creating some indulgent chocolate treats, with tastings and a chocolate and beer matching session to take place at the event.

Divine Chocolate has collaborated with MasterChef 2015 finalist Tony Rodd, who will be offering a three-course chocolate experience, using Divine Chocolate, as part of Rodd’s work with restaurant and bar The Jones Family Project in Shoreditch. 

Divine is also working with fairtrade spirits brand Fair to create a chocolate cocktail, which will be available in bars across London.

The week-long cocoa celebration will culminate with The Chocolate Show at Olympic National Hall from 16-18 October, which will feature a pop-up dessert bar from French chocolate brand Valrhona and patisserie Belle Epoque, along with pastry cocktail masterclasses and a chocolate fashion show featuring dresses from The Fat Duck.

The team behind the Charlie & The Chocolate Factory musical will be hosting the children’s area at the show, complete with a glass elevator, with performances from Charlie and Willy Wonka at the opening.
