
Horton was formerly publishing strategist and associate publisher with ACP Magazines in Australia.
He takes on responsibility for market and brand strategies for FHM, Zoo, Homme Plus, Q, Empire, Mojo and Kerrang! and will work with the marketing, publishing, editorial and commercial teams to drive sales and revenue.
Part of his role will be to exploit cross-promotional opportunities across the means, music and film titles.
Horton will report to Bauer Media marketing director Anne-Marie Lavan, and joins Victoria Walker, head of marketing for Heat, Closer and Parenting, and Rebecca Eaves, head of marketing for Grazia, Yours, More and Top Sante.
At ACP, Horton worked on BBC Worldwide titles and helped launch of a number of BBC products, including Top Gear in Australia and New Zealand.
Prior to ACP, he was circulation and retail marketing director at Emap Australia and held publishing duties on Empire. He previously worked for Emap in the UK as trade marketing manager and head of retail.
