Parker Williams designs Royal Brand's Indian ice creams

LONDON - Parker Williams has designed the packaging for the launch of The Royal Brand's new range of Kulfi ice cream to extend its reach beyond the Indian community.

The Royal Brand has extended its range of Indian foods with a range of ice-cream including: Pista, made with Pistachios; Malai, made with cardamon pods; and Mango.

The food firm hopes the  launch will introduce the brand to a much wider audience with a look that has taken the flavours and fragrance of each variant and parker Williams produced an "aroma" design to link the brand with its Indian heritage.

Rich colours have been used to reflect the taste of the ice-cream with gold on black lines depicting a henna tattoo and elephants to create the Indian theme.

Parker Williams has already worked with The Royal Brand on its Paratha bread and Mithai sweets, as well as various products within its sauces and pickles range.

Cathy Ogilvie, designer director for Parker Williams, said: "This project has given us a great opportunity to create a new area within the ice cream category, exploring new visual codes."
