British Airways starts a campaign to promote British talent as part of its tie-up with the 2012 Olympics.

An ad in The Times pictures chef Heston Blumenthal calling for budding chefs to enter a cooking competition hosted by the airline. In The Daily Mail actor Richard E Grant launches a short film competition.

Virgin Holidays meanwhile vows to treat all of its customers "like a rockstar" with an ad in The Daily Telegraph.

Sky advertises its HD channel offering in The Times, The Daily Telegraph, The Guardian, The Independent, the Daily Mail, the Daily Express, The Sun and the Daily Mirror today.

M&S promotes its clothing range, focusing on outfits for wedding guests in The Times, The Daily Telegraph, the Daily Mail and the Daily Express. In The Daily Mirror the retailer promotes men’s clothing.

Waitrose highlights products for "the essential barbecue" with a full page in The Times and The Daily Telegraph.

Sainsbury’s continues its "feed your family for £50" campaign in The Guardian and The Daily Express.

Mars sponsors a sport pull-out in the Daily Mirror giving readers the chance to "play with your football heroes".

Finally, on the day of the AV referendum, the Yes to AV campaign puts one final press ad in the Daily Mirror.
