Paramount's new release 'The Last Air Bender' is advertised across the national press ahead of previews today while Lionsgate's Sylvester Stallone action flick 'The Expendables' gets editorial coverage after its premier in London last night.

Asda pushes hard to beat deals on entertainment including DVDs, CDs and games, with some priced as low as £3 in an attempt to undercut high street retailers.

Harper’s Bazaar magazine releases images from a photo shoot with Jennifer Aniston to promote its latest issue featuring an interview with the star. Several papers run with the pictures alongside brief highlights from the interview.

Virgin Media claims it has the "UK’s fastest broadband" and offers to install it for free in an ad in The Sun. The internet provider quotes Ofcom as confirming its high speed.

Elsewhere, British Gas prompt customers to use its summer maintenance service while Npower also pushes its boiler care service.

The Co-operative bank has been named the "world's most sustainable bank" in the Financial Times awards and has taken out two half page ads to spread the word in The Independent.

The Times continues its push for its online subscription service, using reader testimonials in its house ads. Meanwhile, The Guardian includes a readers' offer for Le Creuset kitchenware at a reduced price and the Daily Mirror offers garden equipment deals to readers.
