Paddy Power "Taser" Crispin Porter & Bogusky

Paddy Power has released a spot as part of its "ball of shame" campaign, which parodies the world of professional football. Crispin Porter & Bogusky created the ad, which begins with a fan asking: "Biting? Whatever next?" (A probable reference to Liverpool's Luis Suarez, who received a ten-match ban in April for biting an opponent.) Paddy Power then imagines a world where footballers Taser each other – as well as ball boys and officials – at every opportunity. Queens Park Rangers’ Joey Barton – who earlier this year supported the brand’s anti-homophobia campaign – appears in the ad. The work was written by Joe Bruce and Bertie Scrase, art directed by Kate Baker and Christen Brestrup, and directed by Andy McLeod through Rattling Stick.
