P&O Ferries to use Speed-Trap website monitoring software

LONDON - P&O Ferries has signed a deal with Speed-Trap to use its customer insight software for monitoring and managing content on its website.

Speed-Trap's software uses web 2.0 technology to gather real-time data about the website experience for each user visiting a site.

The UK-based European ferry operator will be able to monitor users' interactions with the , allowing it to make accurate and timely marketing decisions based upon these visits.

Dan Acarnley, web manager at P&O Ferries, said: "Speed-Trap's software has the potential to transform our approach to our online customers.

"With it we can ensure that we are proactively driving the conversion of the site through a better understanding of how our customers use it. Previously, we've only ever been able to see the most basic of information about our visitors - now we'll have complete online customer insight.''

P&O Ferries carries more than 10m passengers a year on routes to France, Holland, Belgium, Spain and Ireland.
