Oxfam Stewarding has announced a partnership with music festival Tramlines in Sheffield city centre on 20-22 July.

The festival is the first city-based event for the Oxfam Stewarding programme. Stewards will be working alongside security staff to provide advice and directions, oversee access to venues and assist with public safety in four main locations across the city.

The partnership is part of Oxfam’s aim by expanding into day festivals and other music, sporting and community events.

Now in its fourth year, the free Tramlines festival is expected to attract more than 150,000 music fans at 70 venues and five main stages across the city.

Emma Parkinson, stewarding manager at Oxfam, said: "Tramlines marks an important step in our ambition to expand Oxfam’s stewarding offering to a more diverse range of events. It is the first time that Oxfam Stewards will be at a city-centre festival, with not a field or muddy campsite in sight."
