The name change brings the firm in line with the US, where Overture adopted the name last year. The company is now called Yahoo! Search Marketing across all of Europe.
Stephen Taylor, regional vice-president and managing director of Yahoo! Search and Yahoo! Search Marketing, Europe, said: "Overture is not a name or company that, unless you are in the space, you are going to think of. Being able to use the Yahoo! name is clearly something important to reach advertisers."
He added: "Its important that Overture as paid search is linked to Yahoo! Search itself, to bring together the teams and think about an overall Yahoo! search proposition."
