Oscar gets replaced with woman in Hollywood campaign for equality

Hollywood’s had a serious wake-up call over the past year. And those voices against sexism aren’t going away. In fact, they’re heating up. A group of creatives have thrown their weight behind a punchy campaign to try to replace the iconic Oscar statue with a woman. "Her Oscar" was launched by a team that identifies problems, spawns solutions and works to build relationships with government officials, business partners and vendors to transform ideas into action. Part of the campaign involves a petition that demands the Academy Awards to nominate films with at least a 50 percent female participation.
