Orange uses direct as part of Christmas campaign

LONDON - Orange is using direct activity with its mobile phone customers as part of its integrated Christmas campaign.

The activity encourages customers to stay in touch with each other over the festive period. Developed by bd-ntwk, it comprises posters, postcards, tent cards and leaflets.

The direct work comes as BBC World and Orange announced a landmark deal to extend their distribution contract to allow BBC content to be downloaded via the Orange mobile network in eight countries.

Under the terms of the existing contract, Orange customers in France have been able to watch BBC World since 2004, but the new deal will allow viewers to access live BBC World news coverage in Belgium, Poland, the Netherlands, Romania, Portugal, Jordan, Egypt and the Dominican Republic.
