Orange and Sony Ericsson to tour Glastonbury movie

Orange and Sony Ericsson have teamed up to promote a forthcoming movie chronicling the history of the Glastonbury Festival.

The telecoms companies will launch Glastonbury The Film in London, Bristol, Leeds and Glasgow in April, with celebrity appearances and acoustic performances.
The tour forms part of a wider campaign to promote music and entertainment within Sony's Walkman phones range, including the forthcoming W810i, available on Orange.
Glastonbury The Movie, directed by Julien Temple, the music video director most famous for the Sex Pistols movie The Great Rock 'n' Roll Swindle, is a celebration of the festival's 35-year history from the fans' point of view.
Drawn from over 900 hours of film, it mixes performances and interviews with music fans, musicians and the local population.
The Velvet Underground, Nick Cave, Radiohead, The Scissor Sisters, Babyshambles, Bjork and Coldplay all feature.
Julian Diment, head of entertainment brand marketing at Orange UK, said: "We are delighted to be able to continue our support for Glastonbury following five successful years of festival partnership. The Glastonbury Film is an exciting initiative for us to be involved in as it combines two of our customers' biggest loves, music and film. We look forward to being part of a great tour."
Music fans will also be able to enter a text draw to win tickets to each screening.
