He takes over from Spencer McHugh who was promoted to head of brand communications last month following the integration of its advertising, digital and media buying teams.

Morris will oversee Orange's direct acquisition strategy as well as manage the brand's below-the-line output.

One of the key responsibilities will be to bolster the brand's relationship with Chemistry, that Orange appointed earlier this year and integrate the "Together We Can Do More" campaign into all DM activity.

Justin Billingsley, brand director of Orange UK, said: "Orange is going through a period of exciting change, and I look forward to Jeremy taking his team to the next level to deliver quality integrated direct marketing activity that continues to build on the Together We Can Do More brand activity for all aspects of the business."
