Orange 3G task goes to DLKW Dialogue

Orange has appointed DLKW Dialogue, the digital arm of Delaney Lund Knox Warren, to work on a global branding programme to develop icon-ography for its next-generation phones and web sites.

The task involves creating interactive icons and ensuring brand consistency across the company's 20 operating countries, as it persuades customers to use more of its data services.

It will include developing the visual branding that ties in with Orange's mobile gaming, as well as all other services, including picture messaging.

Orange conducted a pitch for the business through the AAR. However, DLKW Dialogue pitched separately.

The work is expected to start in June and comes as Orange launches a number of picture messaging phones.

Its first work by Mother, hired as its UK ad agency last autumn, was created to promote its free picture messaging offer under the tagline 'muckabout'.

At the start of this year, the firm appointed full-service agency Fullsix, digital creative shop Poke and technical agency ETC to undertake a new media strategy review.
