The Internet Advertising Bureau's chief executive Guy Phillipson said UKOM - a joint venture formed by the IAB and Association of Online Publishers - will look to appoint a supplier for the system in July or August this year, with proposal deadlines falling this week, on 1 April.
He said UKOM wants the online currency to be ready for use by February next year, allowing time for the appointed supplier to collect necessary data.
The online measurement currency aims to be the online equivalent of the Barb TV and Rajar radio panels.
